With Economy Tightening, So Are Online Casino Slot Jackpots

23 February 2009

It may be true that there are less outlets for online casino players in the US. With less casinos accepting US players, jackpots have become few and far between as of late. The economy in the US is struggling and so are online players.

It has been days since a jackpot has been hit at a casino that allows US players. This may just be a short slump, though it does appear that these type of week long slumps have been happening more and more in the past few months.

"It does seem like the slots have become tighter at many online casinos, but this is just perception. The reality is that the economy is worsening and less US players have extra money to spend, so the jackpots are not getting hit as frequently as usual," said observer Jackyln Bishonte.

There has been no evidence released by online casinos such as Cherry Red Casino or Rushmore Casino that suggests that the amount of US players on the slots is down. From the Real Time Gaming network, it has been almost a week since the last jackpot was hit.

While the jackpots may not be rolling at the current time, online casinos may be. Representative Barney Frank is preparing a Bill that would overturn the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. If successful, it would open the door for online casino that have left the market to return, which would in turn make many more jackpots available.
